Meet Tanushca!

They say curiosity is the spark that ignites passion and in my case, that spark lit up in my high school years, sitting in a hospital room by my father’s bedside. He had suffered heart disease far earlier than anyone expected. I remember wondering: Why did this happen? He ate “well enough,” exercised occasionally, and went for regular check-ups. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that “well enough” wasn’t the same as optimal. That single question, why, has fueled my career ever since.

Today, I’m a Functional Medicine Dietitian who believes that health hacking starts at the root cause. I don’t just look at symptoms or lab numbers; I dive deep into your lifestyle, nutrition, environment, and physiology to uncover the real reasons behind your health challenges. Whether it’s stubborn weight, fatigue, gut discomfort, or hormonal shifts, I focus on building personalized solutions that create lasting change, not quick fixes.

Over the years, my expertise has evolved to cover a wide range of needs, including:

  • Weight Loss

  • Cardiovascular Health

  • Weight Inclusivity

  • Diverse Food Choices

  • Plant-Based Nutrition

  • Geriatric Care & Aging Populations

  • Gastrointestinal Health

  • Women’s Hormonal Health

What drives my approach is the belief that the human body is deeply interconnected—your gut talks to your brain, your hormones influence your energy, and your heart health impacts your longevity.

If I could leave you with just a few game-changing nutrition tips, they would be these:

  1. Have protein at all meals. This means eggs, greek yogurt, chicken, tofu or beans. Protein helps regulate blood sugar, preserve muscle mass, and keep you satisfied.

  2. Normal labs aren’t always optimal. A “normal” range doesn’t necessarily mean your body is functioning at its best. Look for optimal levels, especially for markers like vitamin D, ferritin, and cholesterol subtypes.

  3. Try early dinners a few times a week. Eating earlier can help align your habits with your circadian rhythm, improving digestion, metabolism, and even sleep quality.

In short, nutrition isn’t just about what you eat; it’s about understanding your body’s story, finding its missing pieces, and creating a path to vibrant health.
